Frequently asked
What audio formats are supported?
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, and AAC. Works in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
Is my file uploaded to any server?
No. Your file is read locally and never transmitted anywhere. Analysis happens entirely in your browser.
What is Camelot notation?
A harmonic mixing system used by DJs. Each key maps to a number (1–12) with A for minor and B for major. Tracks with the same or adjacent numbers mix together harmonically.
The BPM result seems off — what happened?
The detector can lock onto half or double the true tempo. Check the half-time and double-time values shown in the results — one of them is likely what you expected.
What are the delay times for?
Quarter and eighth note durations at the detected tempo. Paste these into your delay effect to sync it rhythmically to the track.
