How it works
Set a BPM with the slider or tap it in with the button (or spacebar). Choose beats per bar from 2 to 8 and pick a subdivision. The first beat of each bar is accented so you always know where the downbeat is. Timing stays stable even when other tabs or processes are running.

How do I tap tempo?
Click "Tap tempo" or press the spacebar repeatedly at the desired speed. After 3 or more taps, the BPM is calculated automatically.
Is the timing accurate?
Yes. The timing stays stable even when other tabs are running heavy tasks. You won't hear drift during a session.
What time signatures are available?
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 beats per bar. The first beat of each bar is accented.
How is the downbeat marked?
The first beat of each bar plays at a higher pitch. All other beats use the standard click.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, yes. The metronome runs entirely in your browser with no connection required.
