How it works

Transpose any audio file up or down by up to 12 semitones — a full octave. Good for matching a sample to your project key, practicing in a different key, or quick experiments. The result downloads as WAV. Note: for large shifts, tempo changes slightly in proportion to pitch — for small shifts (1–3 semitones) the difference is barely noticeable.

Frequently asked

Does changing pitch also change tempo?
Slightly. Speed changes proportionally with pitch. For small shifts of a semitone or two the difference is barely noticeable. For large shifts you may hear a slight speed change.
What is the output format?
The shifted audio downloads as a 16-bit WAV file.
How many semitones can I shift?
Up to 12 semitones up or down — a full octave in either direction.
What input formats are supported?
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, and AAC.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Pitch shifting happens entirely in your browser. Your file is never sent anywhere.
